Southeast Iowa Congressional Candidate Dr. Mariannette Miller-Meeks was in Washington this week. Thursday Miller-Meeks spoke with approximately 15 people at the Washington GOP Headquarters.  Topics included healthcare reform, tax increases and the corruption of politicians.  The candidate told area residents that the American dream “was at risk” as government grows so large that “if you are not politically well connected or super wealthy, you … don’t feel you have a chance or a voice.”  Miller-Meeks told KCII she has been invited and may return to Washington in October for a Tea Party meeting.
