The Washington Police Department has charged two more city residents with assault, increasing the number of assault arrests in the last week to three. The Washington County Public Safety Center reports 18 year old Rico Stringer was arrested yesterday for two counts of assault causing bodily injury. Tuesday, police also arrested 18 year old Olivia Counce for a serious assault warrant. Both Stringer and Counce have been accused in cases that also involve 18 year old Johnatan Sanchez, who faces three charges of assault, theft, robbery and disorderly conduct. Washington Police Chief Greg Goodman says the city has recently “had some problems with assaults” but declined to comment on pending cases. KCII will bring you more details as they become official.
