Approximately 50 homes southeast of Washington were without telephone service yesterday  morning. Windstream spokesman Scott Morris told KCII a vehicle hit a remote cabinet sometime late Monday, causing the service interruption to customers southeast of Washington in the 2600 block of 285th Street.  Morris says service was restored to “most” of the 50 affected by 10 am yesterday morning.
