The Washington Demons won their homecoming game on Friday beating Mount Vernon 28-10. Demon Head Coach Randy Shrader says he’s glad homecoming has come and past with a win. He feels the kids got themselves focused and ready to play after an eventful homecoming Friday with an early release, the parade and the pep rally on the square. The Demons are now 3-3 on the season and 1-3 in district play. They now will go on the road to face South Tama, who is 2-4 on the season and 1-3 in the district. Shrader says in 3A District 6 you have to come with your best every Friday, because it is such a tough district. You’ll be able to hear Friday’s game on the one to count on KCII we’ll be on the air at 7-pm with the Washington Hyvee Pre-game Show.

Tonight the Demons JV team will be at Mount Vernon. They’ll kick off at 5:30.
