The Highland Husky football team has unusual night tonight, they’ll play a half of varsity football. The Huskies will be in Elden to face Cardinal tonight. This game was Highland’s week three game, but that Friday there was lightning around the area and several games were postponed including this one. The two teams came back the following Monday and were able to get a half in before lightning returned. So the game was postponed and moved to tonight. When they start tonight Cardinal will be leading 10-7 and Highland will be kicking off to start the third quarter. Heading in, Highland Head Coach Tony Johnson says when they finish Friday, they’ll have played two and a half games in in a seven day span.
