The Keota Community School District held their board meeting on Thursday and made a decision about whether or not to go to Block Scheduling to better share resources with Mid-Prairie Schools. Superintendent Mark Schneider says the consensus of the board was that sharing between Mid Prairie and Keota School Districts could still happen with out Keota switching to block scheduling. Schneider says switching to block scheduling would also be a major change in the way teachers teach. Schneider says he also gave an update on the preliminary enrollment numbers saying they were down by 13 students, and the board also approved the purchase of a new kitchen steamer.
