In volleyball, the 14th ranked Keota Eagles and Lisbon Lions played a tight regional semifinal match in Kalona last night that went five. The Eagles took the first 25-23, but Lisbon responded winning the second 25-18. Keota would take the third 25-21, and had a chance to win the match, but the Lions eeked out the fourth game 27-25. In the fifth it was tight as well but Lisbon won the decider 16-14. So now Lisbon moves on to face Holy Trinity for the right to go to the state tournament. Holy Trinity beat New London last night in three. New London was the team that eliminated Winfield-Mount Union. Holy Trinity and Lisbon will play on Tuesday in Mount Pleasant.
