Medicare Advantage premiums will decrease next year despite more coverage and “better care.” Southeast Iowa Congressman Dave Loebsack says preventative services will now be free and the “prescription donut whole” will continue to get smaller every year until it is closed. Next year seniors will also have lower co-payments for treatment and care services. Loebsack says the changes come from the recently passed health care reform bill and fix prices that were “artificially higher than they needed to be.”
