The Mid Prairie School District held their board of Education Meeting Monday and one of the main focuses was the High School Construction projection. Superintendent Mark Schneider says they were looking at the sale of bonds to pay for the project. He says bids were taken on approximately 5.5 million dollars in bonds that will be paid for by sales tax revenue over the next 19 years. Schneider says the sale came back very favorable for the Mid Prairie District with the percent payback at about 3.5%, a very favorable. He says the board approved the sale of the bonds to pay for the high school project. Schneider says the board also approved of the hiring of the construction manager. He says the final design meetings should be in early November with the plans going out for bids in mid November.
