The Washington Demon football team closed out their season with one of their best performances of the season and were right there with 7th ranked Williamsburg. The Demons struck first on the game’s opening drive, Landon Coker had a pick that he returned 35 yards for the touchdown.  Williamsburg answered a couple of possessions later but missed the extra point. The Demons would get a 30 yard field goal from Luis Guerra to go up 10-6 and that was the score at halftime. The Raiders came out in the second half fired up and scored 20 unanswered points points to go up 26-10. But Washington would rally in the fourth and scored on a little fade pass to Brock Kimball in the endzone and the pass was complete to Austin Knupp for the two point conversion making it 26-18. The Demons had two late possessions and moved the ball each time but Williamsburg would hold them on fourth downs and ran out the clock for the win 26-18. The Raiders finish the regular season 8-1 and 6-1 in district play taking second place in District 6. The Demons end their season 3-6 and 1-6 in the district.
