The 4th ranked WACO Warriors opened their postseason with Iowa Valley in Wayland. The wind was a factor for both teams at first, but with Iowa Valley refusing to punt even deep in their own territory, WACO held them on a fourth down and were able get good field position. Quarterback Brady Stauffer took a fourteen yard run in for WACO for the first touchdown with 2:05 left in the first. Spencer Shepherd would score on a 35-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter. Iowa Valley put together a nice drive but after that Shepherd had a 76 yard run with 3:49 left in the half and Stauffer ran 48 yards for a touchdown on the last play of the second half as WACO led 31-7 at halftime. The Warriors scored two touchdowns in each of the last two quarters to win 57-7. The Warrios will now play HLV who beat Lone Tree 35-24
