The Washington County Riverboat Foundation Board has presented Washington’s City Council with a check for more than $100,000 in third quarter payments. Wednesday City Council members gave a standing ovation to Board Member Tracy Ousey.  Mayor Sandra Johnson said the city has received more than $1.5 million from Riverside Casino and Resorts to improve city infrastructure, as well as more than a million dollars to build a new library and purchase new equipment for the fire department. The Washington City Council also passed an ordinance to remove stop signs on East Third Street.
