Washington County Public Health is giving area residents 26 opportunities to get flu shots in October. Public Health Director Chrystal Woller says a flu shot is the “best choice to prevent the spread of flu and to protect yourself, your family, and your community.”  Shots are adjusted to cover different strains each year, and this year’s mix includes protection against H1N1.  While children and senior citizens are especially at risk for flu complications, Washington health officials are recommending everyone over six months get vaccinated this fall.  The cost of the shot is $25, and Medicare coverage will be accepted.  For a full listing of October flu shot locations and times, visit washph.com.
