The Washington County Board of Supervisors have approved a $4,000 survey to determine if space at the Washington County Hospital can support the needs of Washington County Public Health, despite providing 3,000 less square feet than thought required. Rent would only cost the County $1, but yearly utilities would cost the Department of Health $30,000.  Department of Health Supervisor Edie Nebel (Ee-dee Nee-bel) says she has been dealing with finding a new home for the department for the last seven years and is “very tired of it,” adding that business has been lost as many people “still can’t find the Health Department” at its current location in the Federation Bank Building.
