This weekend Washington will join more than 2,000 communities across the country to raise money for worldwide hunger projects. Christian Church Disciples of Christ Pastor Linda Foor says a meal will be served at tomorrow at the Washington Square followed by the start of the city’s annual CROP Hunger Walk at 12:30.  Christian World Service runs the program and has sponsored more than 36,000 walks in the last two decades.  Christianworldservice.org says the yearly fundraiser supports the overall ministry of the church and international food programs, but each CROP Hunger Walk can also choose to return up to 25 percent of the funds it raises to local hunger-fighting initiatives.  For more information about tomorrow’s walk, call Linda Foor at 461.6551.
