The Washington School Board has recommended changes to how the district administers the Iowa Test of Basic Skills. Washington Superintendent Dr. Mike Jorgensen says the district will now only test students on “areas required to be reported out” such as reading, math and science.  Students will not take other ITBS tests.  Jorgensen says “rewards for doing well” will also be developed at the elementary, junior high and high school level.  Currently, roughly 1,735 students are enrolled in the Washington School District, an increase of approximately 60 students.
