The Washington High School Dance Team is fundraising to pay for the team’s trip to the annual state competition in Des Moines and other expenses. WHS Dance Coach Tasha Beghtol says team members want to “earn some of their dollars this year instead of trying to sell something.” She says for a minimum donation of $20, this Saturday Dance Team members will rake area residents’ yards while dressed in “costume.” Beghtol says the fundraiser is a “green” solution to using leaf blowers and other machines, and donations larger than $20 are gladly accepted.
