Washington Engineer Rob McDonald says the work on South 9th Ave. will finally start as early as today. He says they will be milling off the asphalt between Washington and Van Buren streets starting today. They will then remove the base, putting in a new base and pave with concrete.

There were some delays with the project when an issue arose with the Iowa DOT on how to treat the brick intakes on the street. McDonald says rather then delay the project any longer he just deleted the initial work from the project, which he says is something they can do later on. He says the project is still on schedule. McDonald says vehicles must be moved off of your property as you will not be able to get in and out of your driveways. If you have any questions you can call McDonald at 653-6584, ex. 23
