The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks girls basketball team will also be opening their season this evening. The Golden Hawks will host West Liberty. The Golden Hawks had four freshmen starting varsity last season, they return as sophomores and in all they have 12 sophomores that play. Mid-Prairie Head Coach Marc Pennington says he likes how their early practices have gone and feels they had their best off season since he’s been there.
