Three state football champions were crowned yesterday and all three games were high scoring games. First in the Eight Man title game, Armstrong-Ringstead beat Lenox 42-33. In the Class A championship, the team that beat WACO in the semifinals ended up winning the title as North Tama beat Madrid 43-34. Then in the nightcap in Class 4A, Dowling Catholic came from down 10 points in the fourth quarter to tie it late and force overtime. In overtime Dowling got the first possession and scored and were able to stop City High on their possession to get the 38-31 win.
