The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks and the Keota Eagles played their Hall of Pride Scrimmage Saturday. On the girls side they played two halves and Keota outscored Mid-Prairie 22-9 in the first half and on the day the Eagles outscored the Golden Hawks 46-20. For Keota, Brayton Flynn had 13 points, and Shawna Sieren and Hannah Brenneman each had eight points. Mid-Prairie Head Coach Marc Pennington was disappointed in his team’s play, and feels they’ll have to play much better against Washington. The Golden Hawks come to Washington for a boy-girl doubleheader on Tuesday.

On the boys side, Mid-Prairie outscored Keota 35-30, and Keota outscored the Golden Hawks 20-7 in the third, the starters sat the last half of the quarter. Now Mid-Prairie will host Williamsburg tonight to open the season.
