Keeping your personal information safe this holiday season is important and Federation Bank President Jamie Collier offers tips to help you accomplish that task. He says when shopping on line, be sure to have your anti-virus software up to date, pay attention to your banking statements and if you should notice something out of the ordinary, contact your bank right away so they can fix the problem. Collier also says to never give out your personal information over the phone, by email or over the Internet unless you absolutely know who the person is. He says another way to keep your information safe is to not click on unsolicited emails, and shred all your personal documents before discarding them and keep your personal information in a secure place in your home.
