The state is allowing schools to put on what is being termed Pride Scrimmages with a portion of proceeds going to help the Iowa Hall of Pride. The money actually goes to the Hall of Pride’s Richard Jacobson Education Fund which will benefit the Hall of Prides educational programs. Pride Scrimmages are different than the normal three scrimmages schools are allowed to take part in during the season. The Pride Scrimmages allow schools to have a scrimmage with all of the elements of a regulation game including officials, keeping score, and charge admission. The schools are also taking part in a service project in conjunction with the game. Some of the schools in the area that have Pride Scrimmages include
Washington @ WACO
Keota @ Mid-Prairie
Sigourney @ Fairfield Girls only
Winfield-Mount Union @ West Burlington Boys only.
