The Iowa City Regina Regals came to Sigourney last and used strong defense and impressive passing to get a three touchdown lead in the first half and won 35-7. Regina quarterback Jack Verducci connected with Zach Pechous for a twenty yard touchdown in the corner of the end zone. On the next drive Verducci would throw a 44 yard touchdown bomb to Daniel Larew. S-K would force a fumble in the second quarter deep in their own territory but the next play Regina’s Berkley Grimm recovered a fumble at the eight and took it in for the third touchdown. But the drive stalled on the Regina five and it was 21-0 at the half. The Regals would score two more touchdowns including a 35 yard pass to Zach Pechous as they extended their lead to 35-0. With time running down fast in the fourth the Cobras did put together a drive starting at their 20, and on pretty much the last play of the game Andrew Utterback took it 25 yards escaping from at least three tackles to get the Cobras on the board and 35-7 was your final.
