Boy Scouts and the Washington S.N.O.W Committee are asking the city council for requests during the lighting ceremony and the Christmas parade on November 26th. Boy Scout Troop #242 of Washington is requesting for use of electric power for lighting and approval to block off three or four parking spaces on the east side of the square for setting up a booth to fry donuts and give them away for the possibility of receiving donations for their organization. They are requesting use of this from 3:30 to 9:00. The Main Street committee is asking to close 4 parking spaces on the north side of the square next to the park. Main Street Washington will be giving away free hot dogs in Central Park. They are being prepared and served by the Washington Noon Kiwanis Club. They wish to use a large grill mounted on a trailer to prepare the hot dogs. The City Council meeting is tomorrow at the courthouse beginning at 6pm.
