The WACO Warriors play in semifinal action today in the Iowa high school football playoffs. The Warriors face the North Tama Redhawks. WACO is ranked fourth in the state and North Tama is ranked third. The two teams statistically mirror each other in terms of points per game, points allowed per game, yards per game, and yards allowed per game. WACO Head Coach Chad Edeker says those similarities caught their eye and it doesn’t stop with statistics. He says they notice some others on film. North Tama beat WACO in the quarterfinals last year 39-0 but Edeker says they didn’t even go back and look at that game in their preparation, because he says they’re two different teams who graduated a lot of seniors from both teams so they just looked at North Tama’s last few games from this season.
