The Wellman City council met Monday night, and they spend a lot of time on capital improvement projects. Donna Wade, Wellman City Clerk says in a work session they discussed improvements to circle drive and 6th Ave north to the elementary school. She says they were looking at doing all of these projects at once. Wade says the council decided to have City Administrator Dave Ross come back with more options and look at if they receive any grants. One of the other items on their agenda was a resolution to approve 10th Ave. between 2nd and 3rd Streets as a Weight Limit – no vehicles over 10 tons street. Wade says they did not pass that resolution even though they had gotten complaints from citizens about the shape the street was in. She says the council didn’t feel like there was enough to warrant banning trucks on that street all together with several businesses along that area that use trucks. She says for now the council will just monitor the situation.
