Since winter weather has arrived, we need to be aware of the dangers of exposure to hypothermia.  Public Health Program Director Chrystal Woller at Washington County Public Health says you should be watchful for the different signs of shivering and exhaustion, confusion, memory loss and drowsiness.  Woller says you should get into a warm room or shelter and remove any wet clothing to stop hypothermia.  She continues by saying to dress in layers and not to stay outside for a long period of time.  If you would like to learn more about hypothermia, you are encouraged to contact your doctor or Washington County Public Health.
