Yesterday at the Washington County Courthouse, the Board of Supervisors met in regular session. During the meeting the Board chose an architect for the construction of the HACAP project. Shive-Hattery from Cedar Rapids was chosen because of their work on six other HACAP facilities as well as the Parkside Center in Wellman. The Board also approved the hiring to fill in a vacancy with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Jerry Dunbar says Nolan Burke will become a new deputy effective immediately. The Board of Supervisors meet each Tuesday morning at 9:30 am in the Washington County Courthouse.
