Just after 9am yesterday a two vehicle accident occurred north of Kalona at Highway 1 and 500th Street in Johnson County. Deputy Warner with the Johnson County Sheriffs office says one vehicle was north bound and the other was southbound when the north bound vehicle turned in front of the southbound vehicle. Deputy Warner says there were minor injuries and one person did go to the hospital to be checked out. There was one citation issued in the accident. Johnson County Sheriff’s office, Iowa State Patrol, Kalona First Responders and Johnson County Ambulance all responded to the scene.
