The Columbus Community School District discussed their summer work projects on Monday night during their board meeting. Superintendent Rich Bridenstine says they discuss the projects now so they have plans set up for the summer. Bridenstine says there is a long list of things they want to do next summer. He says there is a little bit of concern that they want to do more with technology which would slow down some projects. They also want to look at some longer range planning which would require an engineer. The Board did decide that they wanted to purchase new wrestling practice mats now instead of waiting. The board also had their second reading of the Open Evening Policy and the Employee Use of Cell Phones Policy; those policies could be approved at the next board meeting on January 17th.
