The Tyson Foods pork processing plant in Columbus Junction has been reinstated for export by Russian authorities. Gary Michelson, spokesman for Tyson Foods says the plant was one of a number of US pork plants that were delisted in 2009 for allegedly not meeting certain Russian product requirements. Michelson says it was a matter of modifying procedures to be allowed to ship to Russia again. Michelson says the Columbus Junction plant mainly exports ham to Russia.
