The Washington Demon boys’ basketball team was down most of the night against Durant, but ended up forcing overtime and came away with their first win of the season. Durant led 30-19 at halftime but the Demons came out and went on a 6-0 run in the third quarter to make it 30-25 and tied it at 36-36. Washington would take the lead in the fourth with it 44-43 but Durant reclaimed the lead. It was 56-56 with about 30 seconds to go and Washington’s defense denied Durant a good look which sent us to overtime. In overtime Nic Williams got a bucket and a foul and completed the three point play. The Demons cruised from there outscoring Durant 11-4 in the overtime period to win 67-56. For Washington. Colin Steele had 19 points, Josh Moore ended up with 16, and Nic Williams had 10. Durant’s Jacob Inhs had 20 including five threes and 6-8 Christopher Timmerman had 18 with four threes.
