Golden Hawks host Clippers tonight

The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks are hosting Clear Creek-Amana tonight in a boy-girl non-conference doubleheader. They face a former Eastern Iowa Hawkeye Conference foe, and Golden Hawk Boys Head Coach Don Showalter it’s another 3A school, they like to have 3A competition for their non-conference games and Clear Creek-Amana has a couple of strong guards. Through four games the Clippers’ Nile Eckerman is averaging 22 points per game and Clay Miller is averaging 17 points per game. So far Mid-Prairie is 2-0 against 3A teams having beat Williamsburg and Washington. The Clippers are 2-2 and the Golden Hawks are 2-1.

On the girls side the Clippers are 0-4 and looking for their first win. Mid-Prairie is 2-2.
