The City of Kalona survived the first winter storm of the season. Karen Kristner with the city of Kalona says there were no accidents reported over the weekend. She says trucks ran well and for the most part the city ran as usual. The three city crew men did work overtime because it was a Sunday. But for the most part Kristner says it was normal snow removal procedures. She says as of yet there have been no reports on people not shoveling walks.
