The latest land values show that the average dollar per acre in Washington County has increased over last year. According to Iowa State University Extension Farm Management Specialist and Professor of Economics Michael Duffy, this survey has been conducted since 1941 is the only statewide survey that gathers information on land values in each of Iowa counties. In the survey that was release last Wednesday, it shows the price per acre of farm land in Washington County increasing to $5,588 up by $854 from last year.
