This weekend, the Marion Avenue Baptist Church is presenting their 37th Annual Christmas Play. Associate Pastor Joe Brown says this play not only represents the Christmas story, but will have live animals. Brown says they have over 100 people in the play and have between 25 to 30 different animals in the play including a camel. He says this is a full-scale production with drama and music. Brown says in August, they begin to write different scripts in preparation for the play. He notes the play attracts people from all over Iowa. Brown says there is no admission charge or tickets and the performances are 11:00am, 2:00pm, and 5:00 pm on Saturday and at 10:30am on Sunday.
