Live Healthy Iowa Kicking Off

The Iowa State Extension is kicking off events for their Live Healthy Iowa campaign. 4-H Youth Coordinator Katie Peiffer says Live Healthy Iowa is a 100 day Challenge for the state of Iowa that encourages people to have a healthy lifestyle. Peiffer says you can participate in either the weight loss or the activities program. She says it’s not just about losing weight but trying to promote wellness in the state of Iowa.

Teams can be between two to ten people. The cost is $20 per person. With registration you can get a t-shirt, access to wellness discounts throughout the state of Iowa, recipes, and exercise programs that you can follow. The Challenge will run from January 20th to April 29th, and you can sign up for the challenge at any time. To register find a link to the Live Healthy Iowa Website on our website at
