Mid Prairie Community Schools recently received two grants for $6,935 from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation. Evan Parrot, Principal at Wellman and Washington Township Elementary says the grants will provide money for document cameras and LCD Projectors for all of the classrooms in  Wellman and Washington Township. Parrot says the projects will allow them to project images on the wall through a LCD projector which he says will help kids and enhance the curriculum. Parrot says they applied for the grants because they found there was a real need for more technology in the building, and kids are coming to school younger with more technology savvy then they used to. He says they really want to provide the kids with technology that they have used in the past and at home.
