The two men who robbed the Community First Credit Union in Ottumwa once and the Wayland State Bank in Mount Pleasant twice have been indicted by a grand jury.  Agent Jeff Uhlmeyer with the Iowa DCI says the state charges against 26 year old Morris Thompson III and 21 year old Ryan Zasareti have been dropped because of new federal charges.

The two are charged in connection with the August 9th robbery of the Community 1st Credit Union in Ottumwa and the August 9th and September 16th robberies of the Wayland State Bank in Mount Pleasant.  The two got nearly 30-thousand dollars in cash in the robberies according to the federal indictment.

The two men are charged with three counts each of bank robbery and one count each of conspiracy to rob banks.  Both Thompson and Zasareti have been transferred to federal custody and are set for trial on February 7th in federal court in Davenport.
