Multiple accidents on area highways where reported to the Washington County Communications center Saturday morning.
Cara Sorrells, 911 Supervisor, reports at approximately 6:20 A.M. a single vehicle rollover accident occurred on Highway 218 at 150th Street. One patient was transported from the accident to University Hospital in Iowa City.
A second rollover accident was reported just after 7 A.M. on Highway 218 between 160th and 170th Streets involving a school bus. At least seven injuries were reported involving the passengers and the bus driver. Injured parties were transported to Mercy Hospital and University Hospital in Iowa City.
The Iowa Highway Patrol is handling another rollover with injuries reported at approximately 7:25 A.M. at Highway 218 and 265th Street.
Lastly at approximately 8:25 A.M. the communications center received a report of a truck versus semi truck accident on Highway 22 one mile west of Wellman. Upon the arrival of emergency responders at the scene it was determined that no one was injured.
Multiple local and state emergency personnel responded to the scene’s today.
