Last Saturday Downtown Kalona was supposed to hold their Kalona Christmas events but they were rescheduled due to snow. Tonight those two events will be happening. The first is the caroling in Kalona event on the square. Sally Kern with the Chamber of Commerce says caroling will be done by special groups made of choirs, schools and families. All of the singers will be under the new street light poles in down town Kalona. The caroling will go from 6 to 8 pm. In case of inclement weather caroling will move to the Kalona Community Center. The second event will be the soup supper tonight at the chamber community room. It will run from 5 to 8:30pm with a many soups available.
