The City of Richland has suffered a six inch water main break that has resulted in residents not having water service.  Richland City officials say they are anticipating service to back this afternoon at which time a boil order will be in effect.  Environmental Specialist Aaron Pickens with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources says residents are being asked to boil their water for one minute for dishes and food preparation until further notice.  People can also use bottled water instead of boiling their water.  Pickens says the boil order will be in affect for approximately the next 24 to 36 hours.
