We continue our look back at some of the top sports stories of 2010 for our area. Today we look at a couple of state championships.

In wrestling, Columbus Senior Seth Noble entered the state tournament 44-0 at 140. Noble would pin his first round opponent and win his his quarterfinal match by a technical fall 19-4. He then handed a Ballard wrestler his first loss of the season and advanced the the championship match. In the title match Noble would win on a 5-2 decision to capture the crown and finish the season 48-0.

Columbus Senior Jake Keller also enjoyed success at the state tournament. Keller went to state with only one loss on the season. He would reach the championship match lost to Creston freshman Jake Marlin in a 5-3 decision.

Sigourney-Keota Senior Kalen Greiner entered the state tournament 35-0 at 112. He’d reach the championship and suffer his only loss of the season in an 11-5 decision.
