Last night, the Washington School Board met in regular session. One of the items discussed was an update on the new high school. Dan Culp shared that the foundations have been completed and the steel frame of the building will start to be built the end of this month. Culp said their goal is to have the frame completed by spring so the contractors can start working on the rest of the building. Culp noted the project is still on schedule and is ahead of schedule in some areas. Another item discussed was the approval of the EdJobs Resolution. Dr. Mike Jorgenson shared that the funds received from the Federal Government will be used on maintaining of the current staff through the 2012 fiscal budget year. The next school board meeting will be Tuesday, January 11, 2011.
