When the Brighton City Council met on Tuesday community member Dan Maschman brought up a complaint he had with one of their ordinances. Brighton City Clerk Linda Burger says Maschman didn’t like their ordinance on Chows. The ordinance now says that if the dog is out side they must be behind a fence or on a leash and the dog needs to be muzzled if it leaves his property. The ordinance is not just for Chows but for Dobermans, Rottweiler’s and Pit Bulls as well. The council decided not to change the ordinance at this time.
