Recently the Jefferson County Board of Supervisors met and discussed the consideration of a Master Matrix Resolution. Board Member Richard Reed says Master Matrix has to do with animal confinements like hog confinements. The matrix are rules and regulations set up by the DNR dealing with the confinements. Reed says he feels strongly about the Master Matrix because instead of having a different rule for 99 counties, they all have the same rules, because run off from a hog confinement doesn’t stop at the county line. Reed says this is something that the 99 counties can be together on if they all join the plan. Jefferson County Board of Supervisors agreed to join.
