The condition of the housing market in Keota was the main point of discussion on Thursday during the Keota Comprehensive Plan Committee meeting. Scott Flynn with the city council says they were looking both at the availability of houses and the conditions of properties to try and determine if they have houses available from starter homes to larger homes in the market. He says the goal was to determine if there needs to be additional real estate and houses made available within the city limits. Flynn says there was discussion on the condition of rental properties and the comprehensive plan.  Consultants may be meeting with a few of the landlords to review programs that are available to improve housing.
