The Environmental Protection Agency has announced that they will allow gasoline blends that contain up to 15 percent alcohol to be sold for vehicles made after 2001. Congressman Dave Loebsack says this decision by the EPA is good news for farmers, the economy, and in our efforts to reduce our dependence on foreign oil. He says this ruling goes along with the ethanol tax credit and the biodiesel tax credit extensions from last year. Loebsack says this will ensure good-paying jobs for Iowans and others across the U.S. To hear more from Congressman Loebsack, listen to today’s In Touch With Southeast Iowa Program.
