If you have ever had an interest in gardening or volunteering in your community, you have a chance to learn starting next week. The Iowa State University Extension is offering a Master Gardener Training Program for anyone interested. Nancy Adrian with the ISU Extension says this program has trained over 9000 people in various aspects of gardening and was first started in 1979. She says the classes start on the 11th, last about three hours each and will total about 40 hours worth of instruction. The classes will take place at the Extension Office and one class will be on the ISU Campus. She says the classes end March 10th. Adrian notes the deadline to sign up for the class is today. If you would like more information, contact the Washington County Extension.
